September 6
Students will be shown this picture on the white board and answer the big question. Each student will be a part of a group of three or four and they will answer the questions. I will ask them to look at the picture carefully and look at all the clues. What do you see? What do you think you know? and What would you still like to learn? work sheet.

September 7
Students will begin reading and listening to the first chapter of White Fang. Student will be able to get on the computers with their flash drives and read and or listen to the text. All flash drives will be numbered and each student will receive his or hers each day. For those students that will need additional support I will record it on MP3 players and the student can check them out and bring them back.
September 9Watch Video on inferences.
Each group will take a character in the book and use inference to answer three questions. 1. Why do they act they way they do? 2. If you were in their place what would you do differently? 3. How would using todays equipment and inventions change the gold rush? |

We will examine chapter one we will have small group discussions and each group will complete a Taxedo about the chapter. Due September 14
