The use of TPACK is the best way to integrate technology without loosing the content or pedagogical knowledge.
This Dream It project uses TPACK to combine the three areas into a cohesive plan to help students gain deeper understanding.
Repurpose: there are so many applications on the web it is easy to see tools that can be used in new ways. My project is about using both old and new tools in different ways to promote a deeper understanding. I want to give the students the knowledge to develop skills that they can then transfer to new situations.
It is necessary for teachers to explore and stay current of the new technology. Everything that man has created is technology. The more resent the technology the bigger the influence on this generation. What this means is that for me the technologies that came before my birth had less of an impact then the technologies that have come during my lifetime, Our students are growing up and having computers and cell phones as a part of their digital native generation. They are less surprised or amazed, but when new technology like a GPS system or a car that parks itself are invented students are amazed. It is my hope that I can interest them by using new technology and repurposing it for new and different avenues.
